Massage Therapy Policy Document The Nourished Core – Private Home Clinic 1. Professional Standards All treatments are carried out in accordance with professional massage therapy standards, codes of conduct, and within the therapist’s scope of practice. The therapist holds appropriate professional insurance and relevant qualifications. 2. Booking & Appointments Clients must provide accurate personal and medical information before the first session via a consultation form. Sessions start and finish at the agreed times. Late arrival may reduce treatment time. 3. Cancellations & Rescheduling A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee of up to 100% of the session cost. The therapist reserves the right to reschedule appointments in cases of illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances. 4. Health & Safety Clients must disclose all relevant health conditions, recent surgeries, injuries, or contraindications before treatment. If massage is deemed unsafe, the therapist reserves the right to refuse treatment and may recommend referral to a healthcare professional. Hygiene standards are maintained at all times. Clients are expected to arrive clean and free from contagious conditions. 5. Confidentiality & Privacy All client records are kept strictly confidential in line with data protection laws. Personal information is never shared without written consent, except where legally required. As the clinic operates from a private residence, clients are requested to respect the household environment. 6. Professional Boundaries Massage therapy is strictly non-sexual. Any inappropriate behavior will result in immediate termination of the session with no refund, and may be reported to authorities if necessary. The therapist maintains professional boundaries at all times. 7. Payment Policy Payment on booking and before the time of treatment unless otherwise agreed. Accepted payment methods: [cash / bank transfer / card / other]. Block bookings or packages must be paid in advance. 8. Home-Based Practice Guidelines The clinic is located within a private home. Clients are asked to arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before the appointment.
